Use the Internal site Name from Platform Services in the Events Host App - PPL-601
In the Events host app, the name of the sites will be taken from the internally used ‘Name’ field in Platform Services. It will no longer be reading from the ‘Display Name’ field, while that will continue to be used on all guest facing communication and channels.
This will help multi-site users identify the correct sites based on that internal name when using the host application.
Note that the ordering of those sites within the Host App will now also be based alphabetically on the internal name, so customers may see a change to the ordering of sites listed in the host application.
Bookable Areas: Assign Areas in Events Admin Layout configuration - PPL-493
For Tables integrated sites, it is now possible to assign an Events area to specific tables and table joins from within Events Admin, Manage Sites, Layouts.
This will be replacing the Area tags that previously existed in Tables Admin, Manage Tables, Layouts which have been removed as part of this work.
This administration is to support future work being carried out on bookable areas and will not automatically assign those tables until the release of future features.
Importing Events - Prevent the partial import - PPL-538
This feature adds improvements to the import tool within Events administration pages to ensure that bookings are fully imported from Reservations into Events.
Bookings where the details are not complete or would cause subsequent issues will no longer be imported. An error will be displayed to the user.
Bookings with no surname or a booking that is attempting to be assigned to an invalid occassion or menu will now cause the import to fail completely for those instances. If those issues are then resolved, the import can be attempted again for those bookings.
It will also fail if any of the internal import processes fail, such as successfully setting up a pre-order or the booking audit, so that there are no partially imported bookings which in turn can cause future operational issues.
A future feature will introduce the ability to report on any failed imports.

We would like to let you know if other developments and features that we have also been making progress towards within this cycle.
Bookable Areas
There are a number of features that needs to be completed for the Bookable Areas functionality to be available. Some of the features we are working on will not be available to customers until the completion of future features later in the year and we are working through these in every sprint.
Move administration of store / site 'timeslots' to Events - Standard Days (PPL-495)
We are now almost complete on moving this administration of site standard day timeslots into Events. This also includes the introduction of Capacity Groups, which all contributes in turn to the overall goal of Bookable areas.
This will be followed in the upcoming sprints with moving the Special Day and the Today timeslot administration into Events.
This functionality is currently restricted and you will not see the changes in the Admin UI till the full bookable areas functionality is delivered later this year.
